I lost my edger wrench, and decided to design my own to solve some usability issues with the one I had. I made a few doodles and decided to just modify a deep-well socket instead of machining something from scratch. So, I bought a knurling tool for the lathe, and knurled up 9/16″ socket. Drilled some holes for a cross bar, and epoxied in some neodymium magnets to retain the bolt when you are replacing edger discs. The basic idea is that instead of turning your wrist, you twist it between your fingers, works much quicker and easier. And the magnet keeps the bolt from falling out.
